As a board-certified physiatrist and a fellowship-trained interventional spine specialist, my practice focuses on the diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of spine and musculoskeletal disorders. I believe in using conservative care to help patients avoid back and neck surgery when possible. I primarily treat patients with occupational and sports-related injuries including back, neck, joint, and nerve disorders. I also have a great deal of experience in performing electrodiagnostic testing and spinal intervention procedures including fluoroscopically guided spinal injections and discography.
I chose physical medicine and rehabilitation as my area of specialization because of the functional improvement I can bring to my patients. Regardless of the diagnosis, physiatry provides a level of benefit and improvement for my patients. I promise to devote my medical experience and expertise to helping you return to a full, active life in the shortest time possible.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to further improve your experience in our practice. I am looking forward to meeting with you.
Emil S. Cheng, M.D.
